Common dreams published a story today about the report created by the Ecuadorian Coordinator of Organizations for the Defense of Nature and the Environment (CEDENMA). The report describes the negative environmental and social impacts from projects funded by the World Bank Group in the region. The IDB and IFC have provided PRONACA, Ecuador’s largest pork and poultry producer, over US $200 million in funding over the last 20 or so years, and their work has led to severe environmental impacts.
